BANGOR SAVINGS FOUNDATION PEOPLE’S VOTE FOR CHARITY
2012 RECIPIENT OF $1,OOO GRANT
We have some exciting news to share with all of you! A few months ago we asked our supporters if they would write in “Last Stop Horse Rescue” as their favorite 501c3 non profit horse rescue on the Bangor Savings Foundation Community Matters ballot. By writing in and voting for Last Stop Horse Rescue, it was possible that we could be awarded $1000 dollars from the Bangor Savings Foundation for the horses at the rescue if we were among the top write in votes. In order to receive this award our rescue needed to be in the top 20 charities to receive the most “write in” votes because we were not on the ballot for all voters to view. We are proud to announce that your vote mattered, and Last Stop Horse Rescue is being awarded $1000 dollars! Thank you to each and everyone of you who helped the horses at the rescue by casting your vote. What an honor this truly is to be receiving this award because not only does it help the horses at the rescue, it also means that Last Stop Horse Rescue is one of your favorite 501c3 non profit public charities. We are so grateful to everyone who took the time to write our rescue name on the ballot. A representative from Bangor Savings Bank contacted us last week with the news that we were chosen to receive a $1000, which we had to keep secret until the names of all winners were released to the public. The representative told us that they were proud to let us know that we had been chosen by so many people as a “write in” vote. Thank you so much for taking the time to vote this year, we are honored that you voted for Last Stop Horse Rescue as one of your favorite charities, and we hope to earn your vote again in the future Bangor Savings Community Matters voting for your favorite 501c3 public charity. Thank you to Bangor Savings Foundation for helping so many charities in the state of Maine to continue their work to make a difference in our state.

Dear Last Stop Horse Rescue, We at how-to-train-a-horse.org truly admire those who dedicate time out of their lives towards helping horses. As many people know, healthy horses require large amounts of time and money, but only few know that the horses sent to rescues and shelters don’t need just time and money, but also need a loving family to reverse years of abuse and neglect. Without horse rescues like Last Stop Horse Rescue, countless horses would not get the care they need and many horses may have never found happiness. Because of this we wanted to show our appreciation towards your staff for not only saving horses lives but also for improving the quality of life for many horses. So we are pleased to present Last Stop Horse Rescue with our Horse Rescue & Relief Award. We thank you for all the time and hard work your organization provides for horses in need. We understand what a difficult task this can be and hope that this token of our appreciation will show you how much you really are appreciated.
Horse Rescue and Relief Award
Congratulations Last Stop Horse Rescue for being issued our Horse Rescue and Relief Award! We only issue this award to organizations that have made great efforts to save horses and strive to give horses a better life.
